Estonian State Forest Management Centre has camping sites, forest huts and informatsion desks for hikers and other wanderers in nature, which are located away from public roads and settlements. Estonia is a land of woods - 51,8% of the country is covered with forests. The forest has always been important place for Estonian people - it was believed to be a sacred place in Estonia’s primeval religion and people worshiped the wood-spirits, for forest was their essential source for food and building material.

Estonian forests are the home for wide range of species – seeing hare, fox and buck is a common thing and if you’re lucky, you may meet wolf, lynx, bear or elk.

Come and enjoy the peace and solitude of Estonian woods!
